Visa Stock: Analyst Estimates & Ratings

With a market cap of $626.9 billion, Visa Inc. (V) is a global payments technology company that facilitates electronic funds transfers through its advanced processing network, VisaNet. Visa offers a wide range of payment products and services to individuals, businesses, and governments worldwide.
The San Francisco, California-based company's shares have outperformed the broader market over the past 52 weeks. Visa stock has climbed 33.3% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 21.1%. In addition, shares of Visa are up 8.2% on a YTD basis, compared to SPX’s 7.9% gain.
Looking closer, the global payments processor stock has also outpaced the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLF) 25.8% return over the past 52 weeks.

Despite Visa reporting better-than-expected Q3 2025 adjusted EPS of $2.98 and revenue of $10.2 billion on Jul. 29, shares fell marginally the next day. The decline was driven by the company maintaining its full-year net revenue growth forecast in the low single digits, which disappointed investors hoping for an upward revision following the strong quarter.
For the fiscal year ending in September 2025, analysts expect Visa’s adjusted EPS to grow 13.6% year-over-year to $11.42. The company’s earnings surprise history is promising. It beat the consensus estimates in the last four quarters.
Among the 36 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Strong Buy.” That’s based on 27 “Strong Buy” ratings, four “Moderate Buys,” and five “Holds.”

On Jul. 30, Morgan Stanley analyst James Faucette raised Visa's price target to $402 while maintaining an “Overweight” rating,
As of writing, the stock is trading below the mean price target of $396.74. The Street-high price target of $430 implies a potential upside of 26.6% from the current price levels.
